What are the best multifoil companies currently on the market?

Multifoils are a fantastic solution to ensure that buildings and homes remain warm and comfortable, especially throughout the winter months.

Here at SuperFOIL Insulation, it’s our aim to ensure that multifoil products are at the very forefront of the insulation market. We’ve put together a list of the most comprehensive solutions for you to choose from – ensuring that you’ll have the best pick of the bunch!

With that being said, here are our three recommended firms (as well as ourselves) that produce multifoil to a great standard.

YBS Insulation

YBS Insulation is a UK based multi-process manufacturer, with over 25 years of knowledge and experience within the industry. They currently produce approximately 2 million metres of reflective insulation per year, with an extensive national market and global customer base.

They’re also a world leader in reflective insulation manufacturing, covering a wide range of different industries such as military, agricultural, pharmaceutical, medical and DIY retail.

Crowned Winner of ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ at the 2022 Made in Sheffield Awards, the firm provides high quality products to meet customer requirements.

ACTIS

ACTIS is a French business, based in the South of France. They specialise in the design and manufacture of innovative building insulation products, such as reflective multifoil insulation and membranes for walls, floors and roofs.
The firm is currently the European market leader in the thin multifoil insulation sector, and has been developing insulation products using their effective solutions for the last 35 years.

ACTIS currently owns approximately a 65% market share of the European multifoil insulation market, with over 70 million metres of insulation already installed. Since 2003, the firm has been part of the Laurent Thierry Group – a group of manufacturers of technical textiles for the automotive industry, which has approximately 210 employees in total.

TLX Insulation

TLX Insulation is part of TLX Manufacturing designs, making thin, high-performance multifoil insulation and insulating breather membranes. The facility is ISO9001 accredited and was founded in 1993 – employing a team of scientists and engineers in Lancashire, UK.

They specialise in making insulating materials for properties where the increase in thermal requirements can lead to loss of internal space, or changes to the roof line. Their products hold BBA certificates, with the firm also being approved by The Carbon Trust and a member of TIMSA.

The firm have also worked on many different projects, such as insulating the water polo pavilion for the London 2012 Olympic Games. They also created the insulation barrier for the Zaha Hadid Chanel pavilion.
