SuperFOIL BB products have a high-performance ‘W1 watertight’ breather membrane as their external layer, eliminating the need for a separate breather layer in your property. This way, the BB range allows the moisture that has entered the property to escape outside without causing any condensation damage, while the reflective layers offer much-needed insulation and a radiant barrier.
SuperFOIL’s reflective Breathable insulation benefits all roofs, walls, and floors. Our BB products are typically installed on the external side of the build-up, allowing them to breathe and facilitate moisture escape, with all penetrations suitably sealed to prevent water ingress. SuperFOIL products are easy to install and seamlessly complement traditional non-reflective insulation materials, making them ideal for both new builds and renovations to meet the proposed U-value requirements.

All SuperFOIL Insulation products are independently tested by notified bodies and 3rd party certified laboratories to comply with relevant UK building regulations for use as part of construction and European regulations such as CE/UKCA.
We are also a part of the Quality Mark Protection scheme and the IAA, meaning you are protected when using SuperFOIL products in your project.
SuperFOIL is a versatile solution and can be applied to various situations, ensuring compliance with or surpassing Building Regulations for virtually any project. Additionally, we offer complimentary U-value calculations for both elemental and SAP assessment methods.
To comply with BR443 in Part ‘L’ of Building Regulations, specific approved thermal test methods are conducted. Thermal performance is confirmed through testing to BS EN ISO 12667, ISO 8301 by BBA (British Board of Agrément), a UKAS-certified body and internationally accredited laboratory. Furthermore, we hold a range of other accreditations to comply with UK, EU, and CE regulations, instilling added confidence and expediting your building application process.
In addition, SuperFOIL aids in reducing air movement (minimising heat loss through convection currents) and has radiant barrier properties (reducing heat transfer through radiation/solar gain), contributing to a warmer home in winter and a cooler one in summer.
