Week 9 – Timber Frame Wall Insulation 0.22

This Month’s focus will be on Timber Frame Wall Insulation to achieve a u-value of 0.28 or better

Our first timber frame wall insulation solution in the series is suitable for smaller studs of 100mm of less. The solution starts off with a layer of SuperFOIL’s high performance SF40 insulation installed across the face of your studs with a crounter batten to hold it in place, followed up with a layer of plasterboard as your internal finish. This solution will actually out perform current retrofit regs of 0.28U and will achieves approximately a U-value of 0.22 making this an ideal solution for both retrofit or conversion projects.
