Loft Conversion

The most common challenge for a loft conversion has to be achieving the thermal requirements in the roof. Many existing rafters are too shallow to accept enough traditional insulation to achieve a u-value of 0.18 resulting in an excessive thickness of Foam Board to be added below the rafters.

SuperFOIL SF40 offers two standard details to overcome this challenge and achieve 0.18.

SF40 Roof Installation1. 50mm of PIR between the rafters with SF40 below, counter batten and plasterboard. Ideal for rafters of 125mm or more.

2. SF40 below the rafters, counter batten and 35mm PIR laminated plasterboard. Ideal for 75mm Rafters.Pitched Roof Insualtion - SF40
