Flat Roof

The certified high-performance vapor control and breathable properties, along with impressive thermal values, make SuperFOIL an ideal solution for flat roof insulation. Unlike traditional materials that may absorb moisture without external vapor layers, SuperFOIL vapor control range comes with a built-in vapor resistance of 1200MNs/g, and SuperFOIL breather range includes a W1 watertight membrane. This creates a barrier that prevents water from penetrating the roofing system, avoiding ponding or temperature differences.

The Difference Between

Warm and Cold Flat Roofs

Flat roofs are classified into two types – warm roofs and cold roofs. The key distinction lies in the insulation methods they require. For warm flat roofing, the insulation is fitted either under, between or over the rafter or more commonly in a combination of over and between or under and between the rafter.

In contrast, cold flat roofing involves placing insulation between the joists underneath the roof surface. Our versatile multifoil insulation is designed to suit both applications, simplifying the whole process by eliminating the need for an additional vapour control layer (VCL) in your buildup.
