This Month’s Solutions will focus on Timber Frame Wall Insulation to achieve a u-value of 0.28
Our third solution for this month is a fully breathable timber frame wall insulation solution. This is achieved by using SuperFOIL SF19BB which is a breather membrane and insulation in one, in conjunction with 25mm glass wool between studs to achieve a 0.28U. This solution can also be scaled up by simply increasing the amount of glass wool between studs to achieve even higher U-values. This solution is suitable for both timber cladded walls and brick finished timber frame walls and can be finished internally with plasterboard.
