October 2010 Building Regulations Part L for Insulation

The regulations have increased building insulation requirements as high as U 0.16 .
SuperFOIL have already had solutions for U values down to as low as U 0.11. We have a wide range of solutions to satisfy the existing regulations and have developed new solutions for the new standards.

The target levels for different elements within a building can be seen below.

Element Old New
Sloping Roof 0.20 0.18
External Wall 0.30 0.28
Floor 0.25 0.22
Ceiling Level 0.16 0.16
Flat Roof 0.20 0.18

To meet these regulations we have listed a range of solutions and u-value calculations which either meet or exceed the new regulations (subject to the elements of the building structure you are trying to insulate).

Follow the links below to take you to a surveyor certified U value calculation that you can print for your building inspector.
